Quit weed savings calculator: how much will you save?
Put in what you spend on weed and see what quitting or a tolerance break keeps in your pocket. If you already stopped, add your quit date to see what you have kept so far.
Count more than money
Fogless is a free quit tracker. It counts your days and the money you keep, and its one-minute brain check compares your reaction time, memory and focus with your first result. Free, no signup.
What to count
Count flower, carts, concentrates and edibles, plus papers, delivery fees and tips if you pay them. If you buy in bulk, enter the price and pick how long it lasts.
How the math works
The calculator turns what you spend into a daily amount, then multiplies it out:
- Daily amount: a weekly spend divided by 7, or a monthly spend times 12 divided by 365.
- Per week: the daily amount times 7. Per month: times 365, divided by 12 (an average month of about 30.4 days). Per year: times 365. In 5 years: the yearly amount times 5.
- Money kept so far: the daily amount times the whole days since your quit date.
For example, $10 a day is $70 a week, about $304 a month, $3,650 a year and $18,250 in 5 years. The calculator keeps your price the same every year and adds no price rises, interest or tax.
Track it every day
The free Fogless tracker asks what your habit cost per day and counts the money you keep from your quit date, every day, next to your day count and milestones. It runs in your browser with no account, and your data stays on your device.
Questions
I buy in bulk. How do I enter that?
Enter the price of one purchase and pick how long it lasts: a day, a week or a month. If it lasts two weeks, divide the price by 2 and pick per week.
Does a tolerance break count?
Yes. Enter the first day of the break as your quit date, and the calculator shows what you have kept so far.
How is the monthly amount worked out?
The calculator turns what you spend into a daily amount, then multiplies it by 365 and divides by 12. That is an average month of about 30.4 days. For example, $10 a day comes to about $304 a month.
Does it count price rises or interest?
No. It uses the price you enter for every year and adds no price rises, interest or tax, so treat the result as a plain estimate.
What if I am cutting down instead of quitting?
Enter only the part you will stop spending. If you go from $10 a day to $4 a day, enter $6 a day.
Is what I type saved or sent anywhere?
No. The math runs in your browser. Nothing you enter leaves the page, and it is gone when you close it.
